No internet? Hmm.
Money? Bank tellers / cash machines - a bother but still available.
Consumer life? Guess I have to go to the store. Is that store's supply-chain 100% internet based? As long as they can call whoever it is they need to call - then - while their shelves might be thin or bare from time to time - grocers would do what they need to do to stock shelves.
Mass deaths? Sure - anything major disruption may inspire unbridled spikes in mortality. I watch teenagers go into panic when social media burbs. Low threshold for chaos management . .
Ruin modern society - no. Inconvenience modern society - yes.
Now- deep breath. Perspective please. The world will continue without internet if said catastrophe happened.
