There’s not enough collective money in the world to pay (the value) of one second of a two second-old soul’s time. Our species continues to drink centuries-old Kool-Aid such that we allow an illusion of some formula that calculates one’s value into monetary terms. Dennett touches upon non-monetary terms such as a sense of family or loyalty. How do we calculate the value of feeling good about being perceived as a vital member of a tribe (company, organization, et. al.).

If what you do fails (in your humble opinion) to monetarily compensate you in such form that you sense you’re being screwed guess what! You have choices to make. What will you choose to do?

I ask this question based on guiding over 300K students through classes focused on expanding their sense of worth well beyond money.

More than ever before — wake up to your calling! Internal passions fuel the drive to do whatever it is you sense you’re called to do. Getting a paycheck becomes icing on the cake.
