The fear COVID-19 generates is far more leathal than the virus itself. Fear increases stress. Stress decreases our immune system. Compromised immune system = higher chance of illness (of any kind).
Death. It's a common demominator for all. To live life fearing every person in every moment of every day = a living hell! Yes? Compassion, grace and kindness vacinates us from excess fear. Common sense (realizing death could be one minute away from now - any day) inspires me to live life fully.
I still hug. I still share a meal with others. I wash my hands as much as I washed my hands before. I wear masks largley due to a new social norm that creates an illusion that I'm concerned for your (versus my) health.
Will COVID-19 change how often we engage grace, compassion and kindness? I sure hope so!
