Spot on and so true. I've experienced first hand violence based on the whiplash of response to recent legislation concerning LGBTQ equality. While new laws make it illegal to harm those who identify as same-sex orientation - the rise of violence (both physical and emotional) is ticking up these days.

Example: all the laws banning health support for our trans community.

Laws force equality. Force is never the answer.

Compassion inspires equality.
