One of the more fascinating responses I learned while on a journey to becoming a monk - a response suggested when I sensed my ego waking up was / is . . .

"So true! What else."

I repeat this same response over and over and over - never changing.

When my ego (or a less than compassionate soul) attempts to judge me - it (they) eventually learn I disconnected from responding on my first "So true. What else."

In alignment with the wisdom buried within a familiar string of words, "The more I know, the more I realize I don't know." - when I respond with "what else" it allows me access to ever-more insights about the reason my ego wakes-up or to souls who have a longer journey to take . . .
