One of the more fascinating aspects of our current cultural paradox is the incestuous nature between want and need.
Given the lack mentality predominate in all socioeconomic mindsets (e.g. billionaires who believe they need more) consumers WANT low prices.
Consumers need money to purchase things. Working low-wage jobs creates both perpetual poverty-level wages AND ever-flowing profits for the .01 (yes — that’s the 1% of the 1%).
While time is certainly an asset, equally as valuable is perspective. Until humans collectively agree that money is never — ever — adequate compensation for time — generations of the 40/40 Club* will ebb and flow.
(*) 40/40 Club membership requires working 40 (or more) hours a week for 40 (or more) years to earn time off.
