Once upon a time I learned of a concept known as the Johari window. As I explored this unique tool to navigate relationships (both organic and inorganic) I experienced an amazing, life changing ah-ha.
Simply put —
“I know that I know nothing” is a saying derived from Plato’s account of the Greek philosopher Socrates. It is also called the Socratic paradox.
Johari’s concept drives home the reality that the unknown was, is and always will be the largest quadrant of the four quadrants illustrated in this concept.
My ah-ha? I will never, ever know any one (including myself) or any thing — completely. Uncertainty is a spice I willingly embrace to learn, laugh and grow more with ease and grace.
