Aloha Timothy . . .
Your passion to practice transparency — laudable. Over the past five decades the more transparent I choose to be the more I grow to savor the roller-coaster life may be from time to time.
This post also reminds me of a request I share with others who decide to swim (more often than not) in pools of despair. My request has three parts.
- Seek professional assistance when you sincerely believe life is not worth living.
- If you desire to experience more positive (than negative) energy in daily life — keep in touch.
- If you sincerely believe there’s absolutely zero likelihood of ever enjoying a robust, healthy, happy life — seek out others who feel similarly to replace me in your life. Moping is a health-hazard!
A decision to feel is a personal choice. I have zero desire to manipulate others in any way to influence their choices. Why? Choices create ripples. What ripples do I choose to create often course-corrects me and desire to control any one or any thing. Transparency vaccinates me from spiraling ever-downward into depression’s abyss.
Four years ago a shared a home with a gent who firmly believed the world is going to hell in a hand-basket. From time to time he’s sincerely sought out a more positive life perspective. Ultimately he rigged-up his van to pipe the exhaust into the van — ending his life. The world is now absent one soul that’s give his shirt-off-his-back to complete strangers.
