Interesting post. I’d write more for Medium — thus increasing Medium’s site ranking — when Medium provides more concrete search tools combined with allowing me to fine-tune my personal settings.

Search tools? Search by publication date range. When I want to see the top 10 most recent submissions to Medium.Com no matter what my personal a/i deems relevant to me — that’d be awesome.

Settings fine-tuning?
- block capacity to follow me if you’re already following 100 (or more). When someone who’s following 1000+ members — already — then follows me — so what? How does following me tweak their stream at that point.

- block capacity to comment if you’re
a) non-member (reduce spam comments)
b) not following me (reduce non-sequiturs)

- provide a ‘waiting for approval’ queue for
- new followers
- new comments

that’s a start to my incentive to publishing more. How ‘bout ya’ll?
