Leona — what cha know. You’ve found (and engaged) your calling.
- A calling is one’s all-encompassing purpose in life.
- A calling energizes us to do more — more often.
The rewards of discovering and engaging a calling are feelings of fulfillment, accomplishment, joy, contentment — loving life fully.
Getting financially paid for doing what you feel called to do — secondary — icing on the cake.
The stigma you speak of is that which norms has cultivated over centuries. Specifically the norm of the 40/40 club. Most folks are unwitting members of this club. You’re a 40/40 club member if you:
- work 40 (or more) hours a week — for
- 40 (or more) years
in a j.o.b. (or j.o.b.s.) that you frankly tolerate enough to pay the bills long enough to get to retire.
How do I come to know / share this? Simple. After serving well over 300K in helping them find / awaken to / engage / live their calling — the themes I note above happen 99% of the time.
Rock on!
