James this post reminds me of the ol familiar koan - if you meet a Buddha on the road - kill it! LOL

One of the surest signs for me to RUN - and not look back - are those who present themselves as a know-it-all. The more certain someone is of their expertise, the more certain I am they'll - one- day - wonder why so few people grace their life.

When I hear the same mix of information forming similar sets of knowledge backed by those who've had the time to experience - first hand - what they're known to be an expert on - then I'll take note.

No matter how many deem you to be an expert - until I hear you say, "I don't know." when asked about something you're supposedly an expert in - you've a ways to go to being an expert in my mind :)
