Intentional communal living is an art in and of itself. After experiencing half-dozen communal living journeys (1/2 spiritual training / oriented) I've come to learn the delicate balance between privacy and transparency.

To be too enmeshed (lack of privacy) fosters hive mind mentality.

To be too transparent fosters endless ping-pong games between personal and communal needs.

Our species is biased toward communal life based on roots or tribalism and survival.

Technology fosters communal hermits.

Gotta love paradox!
