At some point the law of diminishing returns applies to chronic hate mongering. First result of endless, mindless racist, sexist, (etc.) screeds is increased apathy. Apathy at some point pops when there's absolutely NO escape from what caused the apathy in the first place.

The ancient tool of divide and conquer lives because we weaponize the division. Our species still loves war. War needs weapons.
