I often wonder why folks carry so many valuable items in one place. When I see a four-inch-thick wallet with dog-eared receipts, a brick of cards to include a mash-up of licenses, id's, credit and debit rectangles as well as business cards - why?

When I see a woman's pocketbook consisting of more than a dozen store / bank cards along with stored value cards (issued by the same stores they carry a branded card for) - I wonder. When was the last time they placed very single card they carry onto the plate of a personal scanner* to make copies of all their account numbers as well as phone numbers to call in the event said cards - disappear.

*Did you know copy machines store data?

Me? My wallet?

- A valid driver's license even though I don't drive / own a car.

- A debit card that has no credit line attached to it. Account balance less than $50.00. Account terms clearly state no automatic transfers to cover overdrafts.

- Less than $100 in cash.

That's it.

Big purchases? Apple pay.

Lost phone?

1. Open the Find My app on my Mac and choose the Devices tab or the Items tab.

2. Select your missing device or item.

3. Scroll down to Mark As Lost or Lost Mode and select Activate or Enable.
