I just finished organizing a “Virtual Visit Station” with the hospice house my sister is at. Was rather easy. I walked one volunteer through the process of
- setting up the free video conferencing app (required clicking on ONE link then clicking on the prompts to install the app).
- sharing the video conferencing URL (as well as the telephone number associated with the video conference line) with anyone who wants to visit (from the outside) with people who can:
a) sit in front of hospice’s mobile tablet.
b) hold a phone.
Our next step is to assist current occupants who have their own mobile smart phone access the same thing.
I enjoyed a wonderful visit with Sis in her hospice room while I enjoyed my couch.
