Hmmm — so at what point does herd mentality inspire more divide and conquer tactics. Example: I’m out and about — doing my social distancing thing while exercising. Since I’ll be swimming in the ocean I decide not to wear a mask to / fro my journey to the beach.
A pro-mask wearing soul decides it’s their responsibility to confront me who clearly ignores the social distancing guidelines. (If they followed the social distancing guidelines — that I’m doing — they have no need to worry about me transmitting to them — anything.)
Now I have to deal with the fine line of defending my civil liberties and their civil liberties. If this pro-mask non-social distancing soul decides to escalate their fear — possibly assaulting me — the dividend of divide and conquer is paid in the form of creating MORE fear for those who decide to NOT wear a mask.
If you’re so concerned about non-mask-wearing people — stay home 100% of the time. Pay someone to do your shopping. Recognize your fear of dying by a virus is more important than recognizing your increased fear levels damage your immune system far more than a non-mask wearing being.
