Email lists? Really? From what I've experienced over the past 15 years shows a steady, consistent decline in people reading emails. Texts reign supreme now. Thus Twitter and related social media feeds have risen in importance.
To post something with an expectation that there's some sort of 'return on investment' (ROI) sets the stage for dissappointment. To post something with no expectations = delightful surprise(s) when someone claps, responds, forwards, etc.
Enjoying surprises = joy. Navigating dissappointments = ug!
