Corruption at any level. True? UBI - is a potential resolve to poverty. True. UBI may also feed corruption such that rents, food prices, etc. may increase knowing UBI funds will pay the increase(s).

Next? Welfare programs must be redefined to retire the shame so systemically rooted in social / cultural norms.

Specifically?

We praise those who are financially wealthy for being savvy enough to be financially wealthy. Their wealth is based on keeping poor people poor! How? Tax deductions. Government subsidies (paid by taxpayers). State and local property development deals that pretend to build affordable housing. (That's a short list.)

Time to switch shame from the poor onto the wealthy. Shame the wealthy for living lives so few will ever see at the expense of so many.
