Chris! Bravo on suggesting ways to get students involved in every class. From running the chat, memes, commercials, even doing the ol 'roster call.'
Over the years teaching online (well over 300K so far) I also weave in teams / contests. Contest winners have the option to 'skip' tests (or take tests to get extra credit). Over time learners learn the skipped test was actually completed via one of the contests (sneaky - I know).
Blended classes (some via internet, some in classroom) is the bridge to ever-more @ home learning for age-appropriate learners.
K - 3rd graders? Unclear how best to integrate internet learning other than recorded (on-demand) classes that kids take while adults observe? Hmmm!
