I singled out the religion I was birthed into based on the level of homophobia I experienced all through my Catholic grade school experience.

Catholic teachings prominently teach that same-sex sexuality is a sin. Being taught hate specifically? While true I never heard a priest or nun say, "Hate Homosexuals." Given the sin applied to the act - hatred is - as we've experienced all too well - a byproduct.

In gratitude I bow to you for loving all beings - equally.
