Aloha Mr Dyer, your post reminds me of a recurring notion of a familiar cliché what is old is new again. Specifically - one of the many facets shaping a fledging republic was English Puritans wanting freedom to live according to their traditions.
As more diverse set of souls seek alignment between words (Declaration of Independence) and deeds (daily life) we once again bump into an old chestnut - religion.
Current example:
When religious leaders sabre rattle with words such as jeopardizing religious freedom concerning passage of H.R.5 - Equality Act - said myths fertilize prejudice.
No wonder minorities (to include a soul's race, gender, orientation, etc.) grow weary of cyclical harm. At some point we wake up to the wisdom found within a familiar set of words: insanity - doing the same thing over and over again and expecting a different result.
May journeys to more sane lands be blessed with ease and grace.
Bowing in gratitude for your follow as well!
