I highlighted the above quote in your post to shine line on truth. Born and raised into a Catholic family I sensed early on a chasm between word and deed. Too many words rooted in pious angst. Too few genuinely good deeds.

Some may view close-knitted families as to friendly with co-dependency. I chuckle. True - extreme co-dependency is parasitic / unhealthy (as is often the case with extremes).
