The other observation taken from this event is how citizens have acclimated to mass shootings. I don't know about you, but I I heard gun shots I'd be on the ground playing dead in a fraction of a second. To witness 100's of people gawking at the spectacle (versus hitting the ground) speaks to how desensitized civilians have become to guns.
