Another question to ponder. Do followers who follow more than X number of people - really follow.

When I first joined medium and receive a notice I have a new follower - I do respond to their attention by reading a variety of their posts. Commenting on posts. Clapping, etc.

I noticed that those I thank for following by actually thanking them for following in a comment to one of their posts - who follow more than 50 people - no response in kind. Result? When a kind soul who's following more than 100 people follow's me - I have to wonder - just how can one person actively follow a 100 people ;)

Thus my question. Followers who follow more than X number of people - what is your "X" I wonder — that sparks a “really? Why are you following me” question. LOL
