When folks clearly show anything less than respect for me, I smile. I state - written - verbally - "Thank you for your clarity." I do my utmost best to say those words with genuine gratitude.

Then? Done. My actions speak louder than words. When someone who has demonstrated disrespect utters, "Hey! How are you. I haven't heard from you." or other such mindless attempts to gloss over their disdain for my existence - I offer no response.
