Aloha Beth, wow! You wrote what I was crafting to post. After reading so much hand-wringing, doom and gloom I felt a strong desire to counter-balance perspectives.
While I know the importance of of facing and feeling - feelings - I'm also wired to be acutely aware of enabling. When I discover I'm enabling - I feel awful. To enable pain and suffering under the auspices of tolerance - well - to each their own. For me - when I discover someone has enabled me to be less than I'm able to be - I bow in gratitude for the awareness as I fade out of that connection.
You're spot on with reminding us of the long-term love Gaia has for us. She's a no-nonsense mother. Native tribes know the rewards of symbiotic, nurturing relationships well. Graceful abundance by gratitude's hand. As she shows us the results of our parasitic ways (stronger, chronic storms for example) we have another chance to learn what you've wonderfully reminded us of . . . . joy!
Bowing in gratitude for all your service!
